That is what Mark Mazereeuw discovered since he started working for ECS International. “I used to work in retail. It is common there to have a short costumer relationship. It is what consumers want. But ECS builds long lasting and personal relations with their clients. That engagement and involvement makes it possible to offer the best solutions for our clients.”

Mark has started working as a backoffice employee for ECS International in August. “It took some time to getting used to it, for sure. Because the products and services are very different from the ones I used to work with. For instance, I used to work a lot with hardware, now it is more about software. That requires a complete different approach.” It is sometimes also harder, acknowledges Mark. “And a lot more technical. I am learning about the products and services on the job. Besides that I am following an advanced training on Managed File Transfer; about the possibilities and the advantages of it. It is important that you really know the products, when you talk about solutions. This training is vital for that.”

The training and knowledge also helps give the costumers more insight on the products and services. “The solutions of ECS International can be complicated matters, so you want to be able to explain them the best way possible. That is what everybody wants, right? Both consumers, as well as corporate clients. That matters are comprehensible. That really helps in the relationships between us and the client,” explains Mark. “It makes it easier to find the constraints of your client and finding solutions for them.”

Clear language and client engagement of ECS International are just a couple of the reasons why Mark already feels at home in his new job. “I really like that. And not just that honesty and engagement towards clients, but also towards me. Because then you know where you stand. That is the only way to come up with the best solutions.
